Welcome to my site!

Within these pages you will find a host of resources for practice of teaching computer science (CS). As states are putting a larger emphasis the inclusion of CS in their curriculum (Code.org 2019), more teachers are being brought into the fold. Unfortunately computer science is still a relatively young field of study, particularly compared to the core subjects traditionally offered. As such, computer science educators often operate on more of an island to their colleagues. This site will hopefully provide some information to help other CS educators.

Before you start exploring the site:

There are a number of community resources I have found indispensable that I'd like to recommend.

• AP Computer Science A Facebook Group - even if you are are not teaching AP CS A, it's an extremely active group often discussing CS education outside the scope of AP CS A.
• AP Computer Science Principles Facebook Group - useful if you are teaching AP CS P, but at the time of this writing, CS A Facebook is far more active. Can't hurt to request joining both!
• Computer Science Teacher's Association - check and see if you have a chapter nearby. Some chapters are really quite large and provide great local resources and information that may pertain more to your specific state's standards.
